What makes a great program space for our Ambassadors?

Good acoustics with little echo
A solid wall behind the presentation space
A nearby parking spot to transport equipment easily
If venue is outdoor, shade is required
No other animals present

WEATHER: If the outdoor temperature is over 85 degrees, the program will need to be held in an air-conditioned space. Programs may need to be rescheduled due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

TRAVEL: We can travel up to 1 hour each way for events.

When considering the proposed date of your event, please note that most events require at least two weeks prior to the date to schedule our educators. Program dates are confirmed once the availability of our educators is verified.

A central feature of our education program is our Ambassador birds who, because of previous injury or other debilitating conditions, could not return to a life in the wild. These birds captivate audiences and instill the lessons that inspire them to become better stewards for the well-being of all birds.

Although our primary goal is always to return birds to their natural habitat, due to injuries some cannot be released. A select few become permanent residents at BRC. These resident birds serve as Ambassadors in education and outreach programs, helping to teach children and adults about the importance of birds and wildlife in the environment and local ecology.
