One of the best sources of natural protein for many of the birds in our care is hard boiled eggs. With Baby Bird Season in full swing, we are currently going through about 5 dozen per day!
You can make a huge difference by donating eggs – farm fresh from your own backyard, or from your local grocery. Wherever you get your eggs, can you pick up a dozen or more for us, too?
How to Deliver Eggs Five dozen eggs a day really adds up! Your donations will make a huge difference for the babies and our budget!
Homegrown Eggs: Please hard boil before bringing them
Store-bought Eggs: Can be either raw or hard boiled
If you hardboil eggs, please make sure you mark the date.

Stories From The Nursery! Songbirds, raptors, waterbirds and more... the hospital is busting at the seams with babies! Our goal is always to heal them quickly and get them back out into the wild. While they're with us, though, we appreciate their cuteness factor every moment!
For example, who could resist this adorable baby gull who was rescued after being spotted from the beach, floating all alone as other birds swooped down to attack. Or this gorgeous baby Kestrel with eyes that would melt even the coldest of hearts.
We received an Allen's Hummingbird, a rather rare species for BRC, after he was found stunned on the ground. Once he recovered, we were unable to get any clear photos of him because he moved so fast. Now, he is zooming around back where he came from!
And another happy ending came for two adorable baby Barn Owls who have been successfully fostered into a new nest with attentive parents. Their future is bright!

We recognize the vital role you play in our work. Together, we save lives. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
