Wildlife Technician I

The Wildlife Technician I (WTI) is responsible for aiding in daily avian care and husbandry at The Bird Rescue Center. The WTI cares for sick, orphaned or injured native wild birds with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats. This individual often works under the guidance of the Hospital Manager and other clinic staff members and in conjunction with consulting veterinarians and volunteers.  

Wildlife Technician II

The Wildlife Technician II (WTII) is responsible for performing and coordinating daily avian care and husbandry at The Bird Rescue Center. The WTII cares for sick, orphaned or injured native wild birds with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats. This individual often works under the guidance of the Hospital Manager and in conjunction with other clinic staff members, consulting veterinarians, and volunteers.

Wildlife Ambassador Technician II

The Wildlife Ambassador Technician II (WATII) is responsible for ensuring the daily avian care, training, and husbandry at The Bird Rescue Center. The WATII cares for our Ambassadors with the goal of maintaining standards of health and husbandry for the permanent animals in our charge. They will assist in carrying out BRC’s mission of educating the public through Ambassador presentations and participating in all aspects of the Education Program.

Wildlife Technician I - Seasonal

The Seasonal Wildlife Technician I (WTI) is responsible for aiding in daily avian care and husbandry at The Bird Rescue Center. The WTI cares for sick, orphaned or injured native wild birds with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats. This individual often works under the guidance of the Hospital Manager and other clinic staff members and in conjunction with consulting veterinarians and volunteers. 

 

The position available is seasonal, spanning the length of Baby Bird Season, which is April 1st through September 30th with the potential for seasonal return in future Baby Bird Seasons.

Volunteer & Outreach Supervisor

The Volunteer & Outreach Supervisor plays a key role in advancing The Bird Rescue Center’s mission by supporting both our volunteer program and community outreach efforts. This position ensures that volunteers are well-oriented, trained, and supported, while also overseeing and delivering high-quality outreach programs that connect the public to our work and inspire action for native birds.

BRC is open 9am to 4pm every day  to receive birds. If you need assistance with a bird, please call before coming in.
