Join us for the Fall 2010 Raptor Lecture Series Natural History of Raptors

Don’t miss this fascinating and informative five-part lecture series (each lecture covers different material) on the natural history of these unique birds presented by Alida Morzenti, president of The Bird Rescue Center and retired faculty member at UC Davis, and one of the founders of The UC Davis Raptor Center.

A well-known and sought after expert in the field of Raptor Biology, Alida enhances her lectures with slides and stories from her decades of experience working with raptors. The lectures will cover migration, identification, natural history, husbandry and falconry.

7pm sharp on the following five Fridays:
September 3, 10, 17, 24 and October 1

Location: Church of the Roses, 2500 Patio Court, Santa Rosa
(Patio Ct. and Hahman Dr. in Montgomery Village. Parking available across from the Church in Lucky’s parking lot)
The lectures are open to the public and free (donation requested).

Each one of our volunteer raptor handlers in our Raptor Program started out their training with full attendance at the Fall Raptor Lecture Series Natural History of Raptors. Baby Bird Season is over and our hours are now  9am to 5pm. The Center is open seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Bird Rescue Center is open to the public on the first Saturday and third Sunday of every month (unless it’s a major holiday; if in doubt, give us a call at 523-2473). Come by and meet our 19 resident raptors. This is a unique opportunity to see these beautiful wild birds up close. Photography of the birds is permitted outside the residents’ compound.
